Solar Photovoltaic PanelsEnglert Environmental offers an integrated system of standing seam metal roofing with solar photovoltaic crystalline panels featuring heavy duty anodized frames and weather-resistant junction boxes for easy and safe field interconnection providing a reliable source of power for residential, commercial and industrial applications. The capability of these solar arrays range from 3kW to 120kW and like Englert’s PV laminate systems, provide a flow of direct current (DC) electricity that is fed into an inverter that transforms it into alternating current. The AC feeds into the main electrical panel to power residential or commercial electrical needs. The electrical panel is also connected to a specially installed bi-directional utility meter which in turn is connected to the public utility’s electrical grid. Solar photovoltaic are attached to an Englert standing seam metal roof by brackets, which enable an entire array installation without a single penetration through the roof’s surface. Meanwhile, the crystalline arrays themselves can boost the effectiveness of Englert’s UltraCool roofing materials, shading the roof to reduce air conditioning costs.
