Water Harvesting Solutions

Englert Environmental provides a rainwater harvesting solution that integrates its metal roofing and rainware products with the most advanced rainwater collection system in the country today.

The U.S. population is growing but water resources are finite and engineers and architects are being pressed to come up with new solutions to meet water demands despite limited supplies. In areas where water is scarce, architects and builders know the collection efficiency of non-potable water depends on such factors as roof material, diversion amount, and design retention.

Englert offers three new water collection systems for residential and light commercial applications but also teams with large commercial builders and architects to provide rainwater harvesting systems for educational, government, multiple family and retail applications where storm water runoff, water conservation and water delivery systems are an issue.

The RainPro Rainwater Harvesting system integrates Englert’s Kynar-coated standing seam metal roof, and either an Englert LeafGuard or Gutter Tunnel leaf protection system with a complete range of rainwater harvesting systems that can capture from 225 to 1,700 gallons of water for non-potable uses including landscape irrigation, toilet flushing and laundry needs.

Water conservation experts have known for some time that the smoother, cleaner, and more impervious the roof surface, the higher the water quality and the greater the amounts of water that can be collected. Pitched metal roofs are an ideal platform for rainwater collection systems since they lose negligible amounts of water, while a porous or rough roof surface holds back some of the water that would otherwise make it into a recovery system. Standing seam metal roofs are far more efficient than concrete, built-up tar or gravel roofs which lose an average of between 10% - 15% of run-off rainwater.

Englert Environmental is a single source for architects, builders and customers who are looking for a viable water harvesting system that efficiently collects and disperses water using sophisticated metal roofing and rainware systems with a complete storage and dispersal system. Now they can order a single system that will arrive with all the components in one shipment with professional technical and service support to help with installation.”
