"A roof should offer really good protection for our most valuable asset, our home," says architect and cultural visionary Sarah Susanka. She chose an Englert standing seam metal roof with an ULTRA-Cool™ low-gloss coating for her innovative design of The Not So Big Showhouse 2005 for its longevity. But it was by no means the only reason.

"The second is elegance - there's real beauty to a standing seam roof. And, third, there are a lot of colors to choose from which can give a home extra personality. I particularly like lighter colors that will reflect more of the summer's heat away from the interior of the house."

Susanka chose an Englert roofing profile called the S2000, a 1-3/4 inch snap-lock profile in one of the most popular Kynar-coated galvalume colors, Patina Green, a federal Energy Star® and LEED-compliant color. The roof was rollformed on site.
