To reroof over the existing metal roofing on the Maryland Port Administration buildings, 16-gauge Roof Hugger sub-purlins from Roof Hugger Inc., Odessa , FL , were employed. The one-piece zee sub-purlins are designed to make metal-over-metal attachment easier.

Perth Amboy, NJ-based Englert Inc. provided 189,975 sq. ft. of its Series 2500 roof panels. The double-lock, 2” mechanically-seamed panels were formed to 16” widths from 22-gauge Galvalume. These panels were selected for their longevity and durability in the harsh port environment and their ability to remain secure in high winds.

Brothers Construction Co., Springfield , VA , was the contractor.
