Scope: The Aqua Pelican Isle Yacht Club in Naples, Fla., is an 11-story, 50-unit luxury condominium complex with 28 large boat slips and one-room marina villas for owners who want to have a cabana at the water’s edge. Each residence has its own private elevator, and amenities include indoor and outdoor spas, event space and areas for outdoor cooking.
Details: Englert Inc., Perth Amboy, N.J., supplied 22,000 square feet (2,044 m2) of its Series 2500 standing-seam roofing in Champagne, including a tapered radius roof with each panel ending with a 1-inch (25-mm)width at the terminus of the roof. Accentpoints on the roof of the building and at different floor heights were also crafted in standingseam. The aluminum standing seam was chosen because it gave the project a nautical, residential appearance and is resistant to salt, air and water, according to Robert Hall, architect with Curtis Gaines Hall Jones, Tampa,Fla. EcoGroup Inc., Tampa, was the project developer; Anco Roofing, Fort Myers, Fla., was the fabricator; and West Coast Roofing, Fort Myers, installed the roofing.
