Corinth High School Softball Complex, Corinth, Mississippi

Corinth High School's softball complex raises the bar for similar building types in the Southeast. The complex features an entry building constructed with exposed wood structure housing concession and restroom functions, a field house complete with locker rooms and covered batting cage area, and a synthetic turf playing field. The design of complex was furnished by Pryor & Morrow Architects and Engineers. A local contractor, CIG Contractors, Inc., constructed the facility.

According to Architect Charles Watson of Pryor & Morrow, the high school softball field is the only one in the Southeast with artificial turf and a stadium-like entrance and bleachers. It is the first field with artificial turf for high school softball or baseball in Northeast Mississippi and is expected to be expanded to include an artificial turf baseball field as well.

Pryor & Morrow chose an Englert Series 2000, 16-inch wide panel standing seam roof profile for the entry building, field house and dugouts for its longevity and durability. He noted the 15,884 square feet of forest green roofing was also consistent with the brick and metal roof design of school structures throughout the school district. API Sheet Metal of Covington, Tennessee did the roof installations at the field.
