Nemacolin Woodland Resort

Nemacolin Woodland Resort is A 2,000 acre getaway located in the Laurel Highlands of Southwestern Pennsylvania featuring 318 luxurious guest room, suites, townhouses and private luxury homes including the falling Rock boutique hotel, a recipient of the Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond awards.

The goal of this roofing project was to replace a pastiche of different aging roofing products with a standing seam metal roof system that would unify the look and use of coated metal materials already being used extensively on other rooftops throughout the sprawling complex. A secondary goal was to replace the old roofing system that would not interrupt the use of guestrooms, the tavern and other facilities at the year-round resort.

For the new standing seam metal roof, the owner chose 75,000 feet of Englert 2000 Series profile 032 gauge painted copper material for the job. The 16-inch panel was rollformed onsite. The project also featured Englert B4000 mansard brown soffit material and S-5 Colorguards for snow retention. The material was chosen for its durability and the capacity to withstand  the cold harsh winter weather of the area.

Burns & Scalo of Pittsburgh installed the material. Brock Associates of Pittsburgh was the roofing consultant on the project.
