VEHICLE INSPECTION STATION SPORTS ENGLERT METAL ROOF. CUSTOM COPPER PATINA COLOR

The Herbertsville Bus and Truck Inspection Facility in Wall Township, New Jersey on the Garden State Parkway is used by the New Jersey State Police to inspect vehicles and increase the safety of the traveling public. It is the first inspection facility in the United States to be sited, constructed, and operated on a toll road.

The 8,700 square foot facility includes a 6,000 square foot two-story area where New Jersey State Police conduct vehicle inspections that can even include a look at component vehicle parts for safety issues and  theft. The front of the building is a one-story steep sloped metal roof building that houses a waiting room, lounge, offices and restrooms.

Gannett Fleming Inc. of South Plainfield, New Jersey designed and engineered the structure which includes a 7,000 square foot Englert Series 2000 standing seam roof. The 24-gauge, 18-inch wide panels were coated in a custom color called Antique Copper-Cote, a green iridescent tone characteristic of copper  that has begun to patina. Hall Building Corporation was general contractor for the $7 million project. ADPI, Inc. of Avenel, New Jersey fabricated the roof materials including a custom-made seven-inch box gutter around the sloped roof of the building. Strober Wright Roofing, Inc. of Lambertville, New Jersey installed the roof and gutter systems.
